After depart from Honda, Hero could not able to Stand strongly as Before till Date. We don't know, if Hero can Stand again or Not.... Its a natural phenomenon, here nothing is Permanent, everything comes with an Expiry Date. But anyway lets come to our concern : "Hero Pleasure Vs Honda Activa". I must let You know one thing that, Honda had started its Journey into Indian Market with Scooters !! More over, I will like to add that, Honda's success key remains still in the Scooters. Honda in any bike segment, may it be 110CC , 125CC, 150CC is NOT the highest seller. But Honda is Highest seller only in scooters. It may sound odd, but its the Truth. Honda's Unicorn sales figure is much behind than Pulsur. Honda's Shine is now far behind than Bajaj Discover 125 ST. Only, the Honda DreamYuga has a good sales but still less than Splendor and Bajaj Discover 100.
Everywhere now-a-days, we are spreading that "Honda is Best", but the fact is different. As per my opinion Yamaha is the Best in terms of Performance. I have read many failure stories of Honda Bikes like "Poor Mileage", "Engine Vibration", "Engine Problem" in many reviews by the USERs . So, accepting something Blindly is like doing something as a herd. Though Honda Produces Good and Refined engines, but that does not mean that they have No shortcomings. Nothing is Perfect in this world....
Now, lets know how Honda Activa and Hero Pleasure Performs on my Platform. Well, Honda is using a 110 CC machine where as Hero is using a 100 CC machine. So, Definitely Power factor matters. But, before going further lets examine whether we need Real Power or Not ?
I always believe in Need not Want, Yes You can consider want but after fulfilling Need... So, when a buyer is Going to Purchase a Gear less Scooter, what is in his mind :
1) Good Look n Feel.
2) It should be handled EASILY in city TRAFFICs.
3) It should Provide Good Fuel Economy. (Considering Petrol Price @ 70).
4) If the user is a lady for most of the time or even for some times, then she will look for Low Weight scooter, so that she can easily control it.
5) If the scooter is mostly used by a Lady, then it should have less weight because, if there is puncture issue then she has to push it for a garage which is very difficult task for a lady.
6) It should bear a weight of 2 Persons and a kids i.e around 130 kg weight. (Considering Indian Family).
In above, There is No where POWER in the points, because in Reality, a scooter buyer hardly NEEDs it !! If someone needs Power he will definitely chose a Bike instead of a GearLess Scooter. Now, I think You agree with my point. So, while buying a scooter one should think more about Low Weight, Good Fuel efficiency than Power and High weight.
Considering the above points, we have to compare the two scooters:
Look n Feel:
Well though its a Personal thing, but I think Pleasure Look (mostly the Graphic Part) is much more attractive than the Honda Activa's bull like Look.
Mileage :
Pleasure : Usually Gives 56+ km per ltr. In City Traffic around 50+ kmpl.
Honda : Usually gives 55+ kmpl. In city traffic 50 kmpl.
* But Honda sometimes gives 30-35 kmpl mileage, its horrible !!
Weight:
Pleasure weight is LESS than Activa.
Control:
Pleasure gives Good Pleasure while Driving in City Traffic, where as Activa sometimes irritates in city Traffic due to its high weight.
* Some may think that, High weight means the Tyre will Grip the Road strongly and it will not skid easily. But I want to say that, a scooter is mostly used in City, where You hardly get any chance to rush at a speed more than even 50 km per hour speed. So, this is totally invalid point.
If the Scooter gets Punctured:
In this case as the Pleasure is light weight, SHE can easily move the scooter to nearest garage. You may think, that Activa has Tube less tyre, so its better. But, I will like to advice you to wear your Pleasure with a Tubeless Tyre while Purchasing, it will hardly cost you more 400 bucks, which is still much less than Activa price.
So, from all the above points, I come to an conclusion that, Hero Pleasure will definitely give You more Pleasure than Honda ... Afterall, an Indian can better understand an Indian Psychology.. he he he :)
