Hero Glamour Expert Review and TestDrive Reviews

Hello Friends, Today I will put my reviews on Hero(Honda) Glamour after a TestDrive. I Know You love to read TestDrive Reviews just like me.

Well, I am going to TestDrive a 11 months old Hero Glamour.. So, keep your Helmet ON and ready to Drive with me.. :)

I just kicked the machine @ the morning, because its always advisable to kick start your machine everyday at least once at the morning. It will not only increase the longevity of the Engine but also that of the Battery. Then I used my 1st gear shift and started rolling the bike. I must say one thing, this bike is really a beast, it has very heavy kerb weight which is more than 130 kg. So, if You have Good Physic You can control it better else You may find little difficulty while riding the beast. It has very wider wheels that makes you sure that the bike will not fall down or slip at any situation.

Now, About the gear shift, well its not as much smooth as splendor or DreamYuga but it is not also that much bad. Only at the 2nd Gear, you may feel little issue otherwise the gear shift is extremely smooth. Another fact is that, when we drive high end bikes (higher CCs), one will definitely find a little tough gear shift While driving, its quite normal. So, No need to think about it.. About Gear Proportion,You must remember that you are driving a heavy and powerful bike of 125cc, so you need to shift the gears in proper proportion i.e the 3rd gear needs at least 20+kmph speed and for 4th gear, you must drive @ 35+kmph speed. But believe me, at a sped of 40kmph, the Bike is UltraSmooth, You will find as if you are flying on the road. There is not a single sound you can feel at this speed in 4th gear. So its a big Plus.

The Engine is a macho, its just a awesome. I don't know why HeroHonda is not advertising more this bike. If this bike will be compared to any other bike in the segment, this will be a sure winner. Even I will definitely accept that this bike is much better than that of Honda Shine.

About Look, No other bike in this segment can come close to this one. This is just a Sexy Beast. It has a very attractive Fuel Tank, Digital Odometer, Digital Trip Meter, Side Cowls, Par Excellent HeadLight, Ultra smooth Shock Absorvoir and all. So, You can't say NO for this bike.

Now Performance of the Engine, I don't care about the Specifications in the Catalog of various bikes. Just ride the bike You will feel the Quality. Some says it has less BHP rating than others in the segment, So What!!! Ride the bikes in this segment, then decide which is really best, just like a bull, don't go blindly with the catalog. This bike may have less Power in Specification Sheet, but when it comes to Practical situation this is much more better than other Competitors. It never fall You down in any situation. Many bikes including Honda Shine used to vibrate at a speed of 50 kmph but this bike is rough and tough even at 70kmph speed. And when you drive this bike at high speeds like 70-80-90 kmph, You will feel very comfortable and moreover you will feel no Vibration at all rather you will feel as if the Tyre grips are fully dominent over the road at such high speed. No chance of Slip..,

Fuel Efficiency, well it depends on the Driving Style and street condition. If you are a Experienced Driver, You can easily chuck out 55-60 kmpl in City Traffic and around 67+kmpl in HighWay. I think, this is best if we consider its Performance and look.

I drove the Bike @ a speed of 80kmph, and there was NO Vib issue in the Bike. Moreover, there is also NO slip attitude in the Tyre as it is Wider and it keeps strong grips in the Ground. So its just an awesome Experience.

Pros: Heavy Kerb Weight for more stability, Look, Comfortable long Drive, No Vibe issue, No Slip Problem due to wider tyres, Extremely nice Handling when driving at high speed.

Cons: Weight for lean bikers, Nothing Else...

My Final Verdict is Yes Yes and Yes, You must should go for this without any second thought.

Now lets Compare Each category:

*FE Stands for Fuel Efficiency...

Now, Its time for Final Verdict.

Final Verdict:

If You want Power+Comfort and little Style and can Compromise with Mileage, Resell Value go for Yamaha SS125.

If You want Power+Comfort+Style and can Compromise with Resell Value go for Yamaha or Either Honda Stunner or Hero Ignitor. But the winner is Stunner.

If You want Highest Power+Style+Look+Great Mileage+ average resell value and Compromise with Comfort(from Seat) then Bajaj Discover 125 ST is Yours.

If You want Power+Comfort+FE+Good Resell Value+ Butter Smooth Engine and can compromise with Look(Not Sporty) and Vibration Issue(You are not a Racer) then Honda Shine is Yours.

If You want Power+Comfort+Great Mileage+Good Resell Value+ Butter Smooth Engine + Look and can compromise with Specification Sheet(joking) then Hero Glamour is Yours.

I think now Your Confusions are quite clear.. You can Go either from Glamour or Discover 125ST or Honda Shine or Honda Stunner or Yamaha SS125 as per your requirements and You will not Regret for Your Decession.

But My Final Winner is Hero Honda Glamour because:

    1) Butter Smooth Engine (Although not like Shine, which is upto 40kmph speed only) even @ 70kmph Speed.
    2) No Vibration Even @ 70 kmph Speed.(Shine Vibrates just above 50kmph)
    3) Decent Mileage of 60+kmpl.
    4) Combination of Sporty and Commuter Look. (Shine look is much behind Glamour)
    5) Any Age can ride it so, very good resell value.

Hope I resolved Your Issue regarding "Best 125cc Bike For Me"...

Thanks
