Honda Twister 110 Expert Reviews....

Hello,
Today will know How Honda Twister Performs On Road... It was the 3rd bike of Honda after Unicorn and Shine having a 110cc Engine which was new to Indian Market(110 cc Bikes). Actually I have a Honda Twister for more than 3 years. So, I think its the best opportunity to write my Review for You..

 Looks:
Though it is a Personal choice, but I love its look @ Rs.58k on road. It has the front Cowl, Naked Chains, MultiReflector Head lamp, Sporty Seat and all which will definitely appeal to any college goer and all that with a Mileage of around 70kmpl.. :)

Engine Specs:
Well, You can get it from any site, I am not going to discuss about the same. Because I believe in Practical Experience more than the Specification Sheets. Well, I can say one thing its a 110cc Engine. It has a very good Torque (Pick Up) which is much better than any other 100 to 125 CC Bikes on Indian Road. So, No issue with Pick Up. About Speed, this is the Downside of this Bike. Honestly speaking, this bike can not run at higher speeds like 70-80 kmph without Vibration. It has a irritating Vibration issue at High Speeds even after 50 kmph.

Engine Performance:
Half of this section already discussed i.e. Vibration Issue and Good Pick Up. Now, what about Engine smoothness? What about Engine Reliability ? Well, The Engine is Just butter smooth (like Shine) when You Drive @ 40kmph speed. Beyond that, the Engine makes Sound, Vibration and all. About Reliability, Honda is well known for its Reliable machines.. So, No comparison in this Parameter.

Kitna Deti Hai ?
Well, this is the Most important question for every Indian. Though the Bike is Sportier in Look but the Engine is a Pure Commuter. So, You can easily get a handsome mileage of 62-65 kmpl in city Traffic and 70+ in Highway.

Pros of The Bike:
Well, the advantages of this bike are :
  • A Sports Bike under 60k onroad.
  • Mileage of 65+ overal (city + high way).
  • Pick up is Excellent.
  •  Engine is Butter smooth.
  • Nice Head Light and sock absorvoir.
 Cons Of the Bike:
Though this bike is a Really Good Performer but still it has few cons like every other bike.
  • Though its look is like a Sports bike, but the Performance is like a Commuter bike due to small engine.
  • It feels under powered when you try to drive the bike over 60 kmph in speedometer.
  • The Naked key chain is a Problem, You have to change its chain-sprocket  frequently around every 25000 kms. And You need to keep your eyes open in Rainy Season.
  • The Bike has low width Tyres just like Honda Shine, which may lead to skid when you press the brake in mud.
So, Overal its a bike with mix  Experience.

Final Verdict :
As per My opinion , Its the Best Bike in its segment which have all the necessary things look, Reliable Engine, Good Pick Up, Nice Fuel Efficiency and most importantly the Price Tag.

See, if You are looking for a Sporty Bike with Sports DNA, then You will definitely disappointed with this bike due to its Vibration Issue and Under Performance at High speeds like 60-80 kmph.

But, at the same time, this bike is NOT a Pure Sports Bike rather its a CommuterCumSports Bike. If You want all the Sports bike Parameters, then You have to spend another 20k for that. So, I will like to describe this bike as a Sporty Looking Commuter Bike.. :)

But, If You want a Good Looking Bike with a very good Engine, Mileage, Initial Pick Up and all these within a price tag of Rs.60000 . Then chose this one Blindly...

Thanks
Er Satya Narayan Sahu.

TestDrive of Honda Dream Yuga... Expert Review.. :)

Hello Friends,
Today we will check out the Performance of Honda DreamYuga through my Testdrive.. :)

I am going to put my hands over a 8 months old Honda machine, I think this is the best time to evaluate the Machine. Isn't ?

Well its a Black-Red colored bike. And Today morning I started it with just a Single Kick.:) I warmed the Engine Up by keeping it for around 45 seconds. Now I Started with the 1st gear. first of all, I must salute Mr Honda who made this beautiful machine with a more sexy gear shift, its sexy because you will fall in love with its gear pattern. Unlike any other bikes, this bike has a very very soft gear shift. Its very easy to change the gears, its like butter smooth. We can say this system is heredietary for all Honda (Previously HeroHonda) machines..,:)

Now, when I drive the bike in 2nd gear it has a good pulling power and very comfortable at 3rd gear even at a speed of 20kmph you can ride the bike in 3rd or 4th gear and believe me you will not at all find any zik-zak hitch-kitch while driving in 4th gear with such a low speed. This is the most beautiful part of this bike.
If You are the one who drive more in City Traffic, this bike is just the BEST for You. To add this, the bike has light weight that means Good Mileage and better handling in City Traffic. I just love it because it is totally meant for an Indian customer who loves to drive bike at low speed in 4th gear and wants to fill his tank very rare time.:)

Mileage, yes the figures are already flying everywhere may it be TV ads, or Online articles its a Superb 72kmpl. But If you know how to handle your sexy machine you can chunk out little more from it i.e. around 75+kmpl. which is just awesome. I will like to say every Indian Driver "Ragdo Magar Pyar Se" that means if you drive your bike by knowing her psychology then you will get more juice from it.., :)

Now, lets have a tour on HighWay, well this bike is just aweome interms of handle but due to light weight, you may feel flying @ a speed of 70kmph speed. But, what I believe that, who ever choice this bike, he will mostly drive it within 60kmph deadline. Afterall its a Commuter Bike yar,. So No worry about it.
Yes, if You want to Drive bravely with maximum control at high rpms like 80kmph or 110 kmph, then go for 150 cc bikes like Unicorn or Pulsur. But remember they will not give you this mileage or Ease of drive at such a low price tag. We are eveluating a commuter bike and hence this bike is best in its caste.

Well, about acceleration which is also known as Torque, this bike has really very high torque if we compare with any other commuter bike after all its the sibling of Honda Twister. So, No Power compromise in the machine.

About Reliability of the Machine, No Need to discuss its for HONDA PipeLine machine... Just Close Your Eyes today, and after 10 years you will find it under your *@!# with same taste.. ha ha ha :)

Now I think I have covered all the necessary things about the bike and in each and every test, this bike just rocks. :)

Now, lets try to find out some bugs in the machine.. :) Well, Nothing is Perfect in the World. So, If I will say that this bike has no issue at all then either I am writing fake review or I have not researched the bike in a good way. So lets know some demerits of the bike..

First thing is that the Engine Sound, yes its really the truth that, its sound is Not at all like Honda Machines like Shine, Unicorn or something which are butter smooth. But this machine creates a different sound, if I can compare it to any other machine, I will like to say its sound is similar to any Bajaj Bikes. Yes, its sound is not that much low decible. But that does not matter untill the machine gives good Performance. :)

2nd thing is Tyre width, though its better than Shine but still sometimes in Rainy days You may feel as if You are going to fall on the mud due to less width Tyre and low Kerb Weight. I don't know why Honda
still unable to resolve this issue. I think this is because we are caring more for Mileage than Safety. Anyways, as we need good mileage so the Producer have to make machines with less kerb weight and less width Tyres. But if You are more conscious about safety, I will suggest You to change the Tyre by compromising with the mileage.

But anyway, finally this is the winner... In terms of Mileage, In terms of Reliability, In terms of Performance as a Commuter Bike, In Terms of Price, In terms of Futuristic Components like TubeLess Tyre, And finally In Terms of BRAND Value.. :)

So, Just Buy it closing Your Eyes....,, :)

Top Indian Bikes Segment-wise ( Part I )

Hello Friends,
Today, we will Study top Indian Bikes by catagory wise i.e. in the category 100cc, 110cc, 125cc, 150cc, 180cc, 200+cc.

Well, as an Indian I know what we always Hunt for, yes its Mileage and Reliability and Resell Value. So, Keeping these in mind I prepared this list for You. Well, I am also considering the Brand Value and Price of the bike. So Lets know which bikes are ahead in their Category..

For 100cc Bikes:

Before Sorting them, lets have a look on every bikes that comes under this segment.

1) Hero Splendor (Pro).
2) Hero CD Deluxe
3) Hero CD Dawn.
4) Hero Passion (Pro)
5) Hero Splendor NXG.

6) Bajaj Platina 100.
7) Bajaj Discover DTS-Si 100.

8) TVS Star Sports

9) Yamaha Crux

*Honda has not yet entered into 100cc segment.

Now, we have to Sort the Vehicles in their Performance and Overal Ratings. My list will be like Follows:

5) Bajaj Platina : Well, If You strictly consider about the Mileage and Budget and compromising with Power, Style, SelfStart Option then this Bike is for You. It costs around Rs.44,000 on road. Mileage is 75+kmpl.

4) Hero CD Deluxe: Its just the sibling of Splendor, it is as effective as Splendor in terms of Performance and Reliability, but the success point is its Price. Its on road Price at Delhi is in the range of Rs.43,000 to Rs.47,000. Mileage is 65+kmpl for sure. Only the power is little bit less.

3) TVS Star Sports: Well, If You want to Purchase a Bike with a tight budget, then this one is for You. The OnRoad Price is something around Rs.44,000. It will give You good Mileage of 70+kmpl for sure and its style is really best if we compare with its price. It gives Extended Warranty of 5 Years too. So, its a Economic Vehicle.

2) Bajaj Discover DTS-Si 100 : Well, If You want average Power with Good Mileage and Bajaj Look, then you can have your hand on this Bike. As per my Personal Openion, its a Cost Effective Bike or You can say a total Value For Money Bike. It comes at around Rs.47,000 on road at Delhi with Self start and Cast Wheel. It will give You a healthy mileage of 75+kmpl for sure for first 3 years. After 3 years its mileage may Drop, but within that period, you must have gained a good amount of money in terms of Fuel savings, so it is a very good option if you are a daily Commuter who runs around 2000 km a month. Don't think about Resale Value because you will already get more than the same in terms of Fuel Savings. :)

1) Hero Splendor: We don't need to discuss much about its outstanding Reliability and Resell Value. Its on-road Price is in the range of  Rs.48,748 to Rs.51,977 depending on the Model i.e. Kick-Spoke OR Kick-Cast OR Self-Spoke OR Self-Cast models. This Price is at Delhi Showrooms.

* For More Details we will post another Article on Detailed Study on the Bikes...

For 110cc and 125cc :

In this segment, the following Bikes falls:

1) Hero Ignitor.
2) Hero Glamour.
3) Hero Super Splendor
4) Hero Glamour PGM-FI

5) Honda DreamYuga.
6) Honda Twister.
7) Honda Shine
8) Honda Stunner

9) Bajaj Discover 125.
10) Bajaj Discover 125 ST.

11) TVS Star City 110.
12) TVS Jive 110.

13) TVS Flame 125.

14) Suzuki Hayate
15) Suzuki Slingshot

16) Yamaha YBR 110.
17) Yamaha YBR 125.

Here is a long list in this segment because Indians are now looking for Power,, :) ha ha ha .... :P Actually, Bike market is now becoming more Violent with Powerful Bikes and Indian are ready to sell their old first Bike and trying to go for a New and more Powerful bike. Hence 125 cc segment is getting Hotter. But the Problem is Neither Company able to provide both Power and Mileage at the same Machine. Hence this segment is not yet penetrated the market widely. But, recently Launched "Bajaj Discover 125 ST" which seems to be a good option for the YoungiStan,, :) Another thing is that the New 2012 Glamour is also giving a Good Mileage than previous models, probably Hero started a new policy of providing better Fuel efficiency. Lets leave these things for a dedicated 125cc Article, and lets know our list:

I am going to list the Bikes as per the user Requirements:

0) If you need decent look with good mileage and reliable engine with Brand name, You can go for "Honda Dream Yuga 110" . Although it is not yet Proved in Indian Market, but still you can take a chance.

1) If You want Good Power with Compromising Mileage and Resell Value: Then the best option is "Yamaha SS 125". It will give you a decent mileage of 50-55 kmpl mileage but a very good power. Price is Rs. 58,000 on road.

2) If You want Good Power, Mileage, Style and Compromising with Durability then "Bajaj Discover 125 ST" is the best option. It has segment highest power, Good mileage of 62+kmpl. Nice Styling but the only question is on the Reliability.  Its on-road Price is Rs. 58,000 for base model at Delhi.

3)  If You want Good Mileage, Good Pickup, Good Resell Value, Brand Name and You can compromise with "Power at High RPM", Vibration issue and "Sporty Look" then You should go for "Honda Shine". It has all goods except Vibration Problem, Thin Rear Wheel(which tends to skid), Look(It looks like a office goer). Its price is Rs.63000 on road without any acessories.

4) If You want a bike with Decent Power, Good Fuel Efficiency, No Vibration Issue, Good Resell Value, Sporty Look then "Hero Glamour" or "Glamour PGMFI" is the best option. Mileage of 70kmpl @ Highway @ 40kmph speed. City Mileage is 55-60kmpl. Mileage at High Speeds like 70+kmph is around 50-55 kmpl. No Vibration till 70kmph Speed. Its my Personal Choice on 125cc Segment. If You consider more Fuel Efficiency, Go for "PGM-FI" model, that will give you 80kmpl mileage on Highway but it will cost you another 10000 bucks extra.Well, the plane Glamour model comes at on road price of 58,000 at delhi. So, its upto You whether you go for Simply Glamour or Glamour PGM-FI. :)

5) Finally, If You are a damn Rash Driver and wants to Drive Your Bike for Power and Style. Then You can Go for Stunner or Ignitor. But I Personally would like to suggest you to go for a 150cc Bike instead.

Well, this was our 1st Part, in the Next Section, we will see about 150+cc Bikes....

Thank You

Bajaj Discover 125 ST

Hello,

Recently Bajaj Launched a all new Discover 125 ST model into indian Market. It is totally different in both look and power of its siblings. It has a combination of Look like GS150 from Suzuki and Pulsur. Definitely this is going to rock in indian market. Well considering its look, style, fuel efficiency and power no such machine is there to compete with this miracle.

Bajaj knows the psychology of Typical Indians, and hence it brought this product keeping their psychology in mind. Bajaj knows Indian Customers are always hunts for Mileage, thats why in India there is a most common question that is asked by every indian when they go for purchasing a bike/car , the question is :"Kitna Deti Hai.." that means "How much mileage the machine gives?".. :) So, Without Compromising with Mileage Bajaj Produced this machine. From the first look, anyone will be flattered by its style, specially the tank and the Body Style.. It will surely Rock. Whatsmore, it has an Engine of 124.6cc with 13 PS Power @ 9000RPM will make you fly in the Highway without any trouble. 1.1KGM torque @ 7000 RPM will help you to drive at higher speeds with sufficient Energy. No other bike in this Segment(125cc) has this kind of figures in the specification sheet. Below is a video about the Tech specification of the Machine...

Its not the end, it has a 4 valve Engine which is first in any commuter segment Bike and the Nitrox Monoshock with gas canister adds juice to its Performance. Moreover it has a Petal disk at the Front Brake. If you see closely, you will find the style of the aloy wheel of the bike which is totally new and attractive. It has a Kerb Weight of 124 kg, which is little less than that of HeroHonda Glamour or Suzuki Slingshot, but Bajaj has made this to extract more mileage from the machine. So, in a single sentence "This machine is a Macho Combination of Power, Mileage, Look and Comfort from Bajaj".. Really a Truely IndiGenious Product.

Whats more it has a all new HeadLamp, that looks really fabulous. It adds another attractive style to the machine. Its bare body looks much more moscular than its previous siblings. This time Bajaj is fully Loaded to fight with the Japanese Giant Honda...

Lets know How much Bajaj Demands for this wonderful machine... well its not more its quite compitative, its ExShowRoom Price at Delhi is 56,000 only that means onroad Price of Rs.62,000 which is quite cheaper when we compare its features and styling and power with the price. This bike is going to beat the Honda Shine and Hero Glamour for must. But again one question still remains at the end: The Reliability of the Machine, which has been always a challange for Bajaj since its born,,. But anyway this bike with these kinds of features is surely going to rock in the Indian Road... :)

This Machine will give a mileage of 65kmpl which is quite decent if we compare it with its Power, Torque and Comfort.. It is available in 4 colors i.e Blue, Blue-Black, Red, Red-Black.. The most beautiful part is its 10 spoke 1.4 x 17, Alloy Die Cast(New) Wheel, which looks just fantastic. I hope I have added all the necessary information on the bike, if anything missing please put in the comment, I will surely add it soon...

Thanks

 Hello Friends,

Today Lets know the Most Popular Bike of Indian Road, that has been ruling on the Indian Road since its born. Really, this bike is BornTallented.. isn't? So, lets start our first journey from this owesome Machine. Hope You Like it...

This machine is real Hero in every indian Heart!! Consistently @ the top position before 2000. Everytime it comes in a new avtar, and everytime it creates a different in its segment. It always breaks its own record everytime. The Secrete behind its success is "Typical Indian Bike" in terms of look, mileage, Performance, Longivity.. Although there are many 100cc and 110cc bikes in india from different manufacturer but still no one dares to come near Splendor. In Indian Word, we can say onething about Splendor as "Plain DONE !!!" .. :) Really its the DONE of all Hearts.. This DONE has been consistently @ No.1 position in Indian Market. Even after around 20 years (it entered in market in 1994), it is still no.1 .. The reliability and Durable Engine makes it the lover of every indian.

In 1994, it Entered as HeroHonda Splendor, In 2004 as Splendor+ , In 2008 Splendor NXG, In 2011 as Splendor Pro.... But everytime it rocks in Indian Market. The Name Splendor itself sufficient to purchase a bike blindly in India. Its resale value is extremely good comparing other brand models... Fuel consumption is very Economy, it will give atleast 65kmpl mileage. Many Splendor owners say that their machine is giving 80+ mileage on Highways. So in every respect it is the Best bike , many times awarded by different sites, TVs, magazines etc etc..
